Last week I had my 3 month post op blood work check up to see where I was at
That is a HUGE change in numbers from the scale to the internal numbers!
Weight (61 pounds)
Total Cholesterol (70)
Triglycerides (94)
HDL Cholesterol (9)
LDL Cholesterol (42)
Glucose (19)
Hemoglobin A1C (0.9)
Vitamin D +172.4
Calcium +234.2
After the surgery, I was advised to increase my Vitamin D and Calcium intake. Since those numbers were now very very high, I’ve reduced the quantity. I’ll be having frequent blood work to check my levels. For the 2 years, I’ll have it checked every 3 months and then every 6 months after that for the rest of my life. I will also have frequent bone density scans too.
The purpose of having the surgery is not the actual number on the scale but internally changing so that I can increase my life expectancy. The changes in just months is the VERY REASON why I got the surgery in the first place. I can’t wait to see what the numbers are in August!
